EILD shares the Y-EDCO LMS Guide for cleaner oceans and digital environmental learning

The European Institute for Local Development (EILD) is pleased to share a new resource developed within the framework of the Y-EDCO project: the LMS Guide, a practical support tool connected to the project’s digital learning environment. The guide is part of Y-EDCO’s wider effort to make environmental education more accessible, engaging, and innovative for young people across Europe.

Y-EDCOYouth EDucation on responsible use of plastics for Cleaner Oceans and waterways — is an Erasmus+ cooperation project focused on raising awareness among young people about plastic pollution, sustainability, and responsible resource use. The project combines environmental education with digital skills and innovative tools such as Augmented Reality (AR), aiming to support active citizenship, youth employability, and greener habits for the future.

The LMS Guide is linked to the project’s digital toolkit and online learning platform. According to the project planning, the English version of the LMS Guide is a dedicated deliverable under WP3, followed by translated versions in partner languages to support wider accessibility.

As a partner in Y-EDCO and the leader of Work Package 5: Dissemination and Communication, EILD contributes to the visibility, outreach, and long-term impact of the project’s results. The dissemination strategy highlights the importance of making Y-EDCO’s tools, activities, and learning resources visible and reusable for young people, educators, NGOs, policymakers, and the wider public.

The publication of the LMS Guide represents another important step in supporting the project’s mission: to connect youth engagement, digital education, and environmental responsibility in ways that are practical, accessible, and future-oriented. Through resources like this, Y-EDCO continues to build a stronger foundation for awareness and action around cleaner oceans and waterways.
