Project description:

It's important to have in mind that sport can make an important contribution to help tackle the socio-economic changes, the main challenges that Europe will face before the end of the decade and support the implementation of the European policy agenda, in particular for inclusion.

The project is based on the following objectives:

  • Encourage social inclusion and equal opportunities in sport, especially by supporting the implementation of EU strategies, notably the EU Gender Equality Strategy and the EU Disability Strategy, by recognizing boccia a good practice
Support the mobility of volunteers, trainers and staff of non-profit sport organizations
Support the empowerment of volunteers through training first and voluntary actions, especially the ones who are fewer opportunities
Promote synergies with and among stakeholders at local, regional, national and international levels, focused on promoting sport and physical activity and tackling the sport-related challenges

The partnership consists of Portugal (MEDesTU Association), Greece (European Institute for Local Development), Italy (Associazione Sportiva Dilettantstica Margherita Sport e Vita - MSV BASKET), Italy (University Sports Centre of Palermo) and Slovenia (Zavod APGA).
