A European initiative using sport to promote health and well-being among young people living in underprivileged districts is successfully ongoing. The project is co-funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus + Programme.

Τhe 2nd transnational meeting for the Future for Children project was successfully held in Athens on 28th - 29th of September 2018 with the presence of all partners countries and hosted by the European Institution for Local Development.

The meeting included a review on the research based analysis of the current coach programme in each country -conducted on the previous stage of the project implementation- in an effort to draw a conclusion concerning the extent to which it is addressing issues of social inclusion at the different national levels.

Moreover, a discussion took place about the implementation of the third Work Package of the project: an online survey which will be conducted in 8 sports clubs within each of the participating countries. In particular, they focused on the form and the contents of the upcoming online questionnaire (application, translation issues, how to work on the feedback received from it), which aims at gaining knowledge about how and under which conditions the coach has a role in the sports-based social inclusion intervention fostering quality motivation between children living in underprivileged districts.

Participating organizations of the project are: Club Lluita Olimpica La Mina (Spain), Club Gimnastica La Mina (Spain), ASM de Clermont – Ferrand(France), European Institute for Local Development (Greece) and CEIPES (Italy).
