On 23rd and 24th of June 2018 in Rome, 35 athletes represented the 6 European countries to give life to the first edition of “Oncology Games”, a project inspired by Leonardo Cenci and financed by the European Commission, within the Erasmus + Sports Sector Program.

The program of the competitions began with the races. Athletes start competing on 1,500 meters, following the 60m, the 400m, the 100m, the 800m, the 200m. The 4*100 relay and the Nordic Walking closed the rounds of the games, the test of which, on the distance of about 3 km, was held in the adjacent section of the Tiber river next to the stadium. The Oncology Games officially ended with a press conference held at the FIN Foro Italico Conference Hall and by awarding the participants for taking place.

On the morning of the day before the competitions, Saturday 23th of June, a series of scientific conferences were held at the Fin conference hall of the Foro Italico in Rome and the topics were focused on the promotion of sport and the prevention of oncological diseases. Majority of people were gathered to the conference and participated actively and interacted by making questions and expressing their thoughts.
